Hi! I do design research, social practice, mapping, workshop protocols. I am an associate researcher at Sciences Po's médialab and an associate artist at the cultural co-operative CUESTA. On this website you will find traces, work documents and outputs related to some recent projects, in their original language (French or English) depending on where they took place. My practice consists mostly in creating live situations so it does not look too good on a website.

Alchorisma

As a complement to the algoglitch project, I have participated in the Constant worksession.
The meeting of two worlds, algorithm-making and spirituality.

I have loosely organized a group that investigated an instance of technology-mediated relationship to the world : the database used in the Bokrijk arboretum to curate the collection of trees and plants. We interviewed the "green collection manager" about the software they use and how they take care of the data. We discussed the fact that the natural/artificial world of the Bokrijk arboretum can never be wholly accounted for, for theoretical and practical reasons. That creates what we called a database anxiety for the green collection manager. We endeavoured to repair the relation by different means, including by reversing the direction of ownership between the humans and the trees and by letting the forest take care of us through ritual performance.

The temporary result is a small booklet entitled Incantations, Tales, Spells and remedies for database anxieties.. It was given back to the "green collection manager" during a public reading.
